June Goals and Currently

Happy June 1st! I'm so excited for what this month holds. I'm linking up with Jess at I {heart} Recess to share my monthly June goals.

Personal-It has been a long year. This years class has been more challenging than others, so I am really looking forward to relaxing this month.

Family-My husband is graduating from Drexel University later this month. I'm so proud of him. He has worked really hard. We will have a lot of family coming into town for his graduation, and graduation party. I'm looking forward to spending some time with them.

Health-I'm looking forward to having time in the morning to exercise. It will be so nice to actually have time, and not need to squeeze it in when I have a chance.

School-I'm planning on going through my math curriculum to officially align it to the Common Core this summer. I'm planning to start this process at the end of the month.

TPT-I'm currently working on a few writing units to post into TPT. I am excited to have a little extra time to work on them.

Read-I have so many books I want to read this summer. Some professional books on formative assessment and math workshop. Other books are fun books, I have a pile of books, but if anyone has any fun book suggestions I'd love to hear them!

What are your June goals?

I'm also linking up with Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this month's Currently!

What are you Currently up to this month?

  1. Oooooh, there's that word: Common Core! I spent a lot of time with the CCSS this past school year so I am totally avoiding it this summer... LOL! I'm anxious to see your TpT writing units. I'll watch for the blog posts! Congrats to your husband and have a GREAT time at the party!

    1. Don't be too impressed, they are the end of the year tests that the kids have to take...if I had my choice I'd be finished by now!

  5. Love your goals! Sounds like the summer of a lot of teachers I know!

Congrats on the fun plans ahead with graduation party! I'm a Numbers Fan and joined late in the game so I DVR them every time they are on.

  11. Bethany,

If you need anything for aligning your curriculum to Common Core please email me. Our district did this for us and I can share with you how we implemented it this year (this was our first year). Thanks for linking up!
