Reading Workshop Reading Logs Freebie

Happy Monday! I had a fabulous weekend celebrating my husband's graduation. He has worked so hard and I am so proud of him!

I am in the process of cleaning and doing a mountain of laundry...but I wanted to make a quick post sharing a freebie with you! Back in March-when this blog was very new I posted about how the Book Whisperer inspired me to begin a Reading Workshop in my classroom. I also shared the way I set up my Reading Journals.

Now that I have finished a year of running a Reading Workshop, I've tweaked my reading logs and wanted to share them with you. I kept them all very simple-no colors or borders because I wanted them to be very functional.

  2. Ooh, I love the "Abandoned Books" log. That's a great way to track students who ditch every. single. book.

    Great idea!

  4. YAY,for your husband! Question? On your logs, do you have the students continue to utilize the same log all year long (or at least until it fills up)? The reason I ask is because I too utilize the reader's notebook and I have a log for each grading period. We have a 9 week grading period, so there are 4 separate logs for each grading period. I was just curious. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a new follower too!
