Monday Made-It Nursery Edition

Happy Monday everyone! I'm excited to link up for Monday Made It this week. It's been so long since I've "made" something to share for this linky.

Technically, I didn't exactly make what I am going to share today, but I did help to build (Actually, I just held things for my husband) and I did organize/decorate...so that counts....right?

Many of you know I am very pregnant. My little girl is due at the end of July, although we had a big scare about a month ago and thought we may be having her two months early. Thankfully God is in control, and she is still "cooking." She will be 36 weeks tomorrow, so we are just about full term, and if I am honest, it is fine by me if she comes anytime.After our scare, we went into full setting up the nursery mode. We had everything, just needed to finish washing, building, and organizing everything. With the help of my parents, we were able to finish it in a weekend. So here's our little girl's room...ready for her whenever she decides to make her appearance!

All that is missing is a view of the large bookshelf that is full of picture books already...my husband thinks I may have a book addiction problem. Don't tell him, but I think he may be right.

October Monday Made it and a few freebies

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends! I hope you have a wonderful day today and that you are able to spend it with friends and family!

Happy Columbus Day to my American friends...I don't know about you, but I am thankful for the day off! I can't believe I missed blogging for an entire week! My grad class is a lot of work right now, so most of my nights are spent working on that...I'm looking forward to it being over.

It is the second Monday of the month so I am linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made it. It is hard to believe we are already into the second week of October. I haven't been as creative as I would have like to have been, but there are a few things I made this month.

Since our first quarter is ending I have cleaned up a self-assessment that I have had my students use for years.  You can grab it for free here.

My Native American Interview Project is a fun way for students to research a tribe and present it to the class. It is a freebie in my TPT store. You can pick it up here.

I created a fun writing prompt that I worked on with my kids. It is a descriptive writing piece that ties in social studies/geography into their writing. You can pick it up at my store here, or if you are a follower on Facebook you can download it there. It is my new Facebook Freebie. Head over there to grab it while you can!

I also completed the final tests for my Fourth Grade Common Core Assessment Bundle. It was a lot of work, but I am so thankful to have my unit tests made for the entire year! The bundle includes 5 assessments, one for each of the major Common Core categories. I know I will appreciate it in March when I have tons to do at school. Monday Made it-September Edition

It is the second Monday of the month and that means it is time to link up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday-Made-It.

It has been a busy month of TPT creating for me. As I worked to align my math curriculum to the Common Core I found a lot of wonderful products on TPT, but I could not find an "end of study" assessment. There were a lot of single assessments, one for each standard, but I really wanted to have a final summative assessment on the entire category. Since I couldn't find them I have been creating them. I am still working on the final two assessments. Once I am finished I will bundle all of these assessments together. You can check them out at my TPT store by clicking on the pictures below.

I also created two dice simulations to go along with my socials studies units this year. I am currently working on a Gold Rush Simulation as well. (I'm hoping to have it finished soon, but it is amazing how tired teaching all day makes me!)

I've also created a Reading Counts Point Club to encourage my kiddos to read and take their quizzes. I was inspired by Joanne at Head Over Heels for Teaching and decided to make my own. It is the chart all the way on the right.

Monday Made It-Bookshelf Edition

Happy Monday! I'm pleased to report that even though the magic fairies didn't come and work on my classroom bookshelves today, I was able to finish almost all of them.

This weekend I went into school and worked on my Math Workshop board. I am excited to have it on my whiteboard so I can write what the kiddos will be doing. I also plan to have my kiddos names on magnets that I can move around to differentiate my groups based on need.

Monday Made-it Lesson Planner

Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed the Everyone Wins giveaway yesterday. I enjoyed e-mailing the prizes out. Today I am linking up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics and Tracey from The Teacher's Chair to share my lesson plan templates that I made this week.

 

 

At my school we have to submit our lesson plans electronically, so as much as I love the cute planners, it isn't worth it for me to purchase one. Instead I create a template that I can edit each week. Then I just print out a copy to put in my binder on my desk.

I also worked on creating my official schedule for the school year. I print it on fun paper and give my kiddos a copy to keep in their binders.

I did get covers for my teacher binder yesterday during a flash freebie. I love the yellow and gray polka-dots.

Monday Made it-The Laminating Edition

Another week has past, and I can't get over how quickly time is flying by! This week I will be at school working with a team of teachers to align our math and reading curriculum to the common core. I just keep telling myself getting up early this week will help me get back into the "school groove."

I am excited to link up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday made it. This week was laminating week here at the Hunter house. I printed, cut and laminated three different math task card bundles this week from Kristin Kennedy. If you teach third, fourth, or fifth grade I recommend you check out her math task card bundles. You can get them with or without QR codes and they are wonderful. I owe my husband big-time. He helped me to trim all the cards once they had been laminated.

Another product I worked on was updating my Addition/Subtraction Properties Freebie. This was another one of the first products I posted to my TPT store. Now that I am not in the "thick" of the school year I have time to make these products cute.

Monday Made-it and a Freebie

Happy Monday everyone! I spent my morning teaching at a writing camp and will be heading off to VBS later this afternoon. I just wanted to quickly link up with Tara for Monday Made it!

The first project I worked on this week was my Reading Skills and Strategies Bookmarks and Organizers.

I had put this product up earlier in the year, it is a bunch of items I've created to use with my students...but didn't realize when I posted it on TPT that you couldn't have any Word clipart until I read this post. So I spent the week reworking all of the items and replacing all of the World clipart with clipart I purchased/downloaded from TPT.

Another product I worked on this week was My Writer's Toolkit. This product is something I have given to my students for years-but it wasn't very cute. I "cutesied" it up with some fun boarders, but kept it simple.

Monday Made It, freebie, and muffin recipe

It's Monday already, where is the summer going? I'm linking up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It.

This week wasn't as productive as weeks past-but it is summer right?

 

This week I worked on my Writer's Notebook Set-up. I've shared a little bit about it here. But you can download it for free from my TPT store here.

I also printed and laminated Popsicle Place Value Task Cards. I am looking forward to using them with my kiddos at the start of the year with our place value unit.

Finally I made Insanely Good Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins. They are super good, and are relatively healthy. Any of you on Weight Watchers-they are only 4 points each. Such a quick and easy breakfast. Because they do not have preservatives they last longer if they are stored in the fridge. I actually freeze them and pull them out the night before I want them. I highly recommend checking out the website. I've made a number of recipes from there and they have all been wonderful.
