I can't believe it is already February! Time is flying by. I'm linking up with Farley for Currently!
Listening: My husband has never watched friends before. We have been watching the entire series and are currently on season 8. I've enjoyed watching him get surprised at the twists and turns of the story line.
Loving: Glen and I call the baby "Little Bit" until we know whether it is a boy or a girl. I'm 14 weeks and cannot wait to feel this little one move.
Thinking: We started registering for baby stuff...there are so many things to consider and look at, it is a bit overwhelming.
Wanting: Naps are my favorite right now.
Needing: I just started a new grad class. Thankfully it is over in March, but I have a lot of work to do for it.
2 Truths and a Fib:
1. Truth-I have broken three bones in my life.
2. Truth-I did student teach in the classroom that I currently teach in. It was an awesome transition.
3. Fib-When I first started taking classes I thought I wanted to teach little ones, that is until I volunteered in a Kindergarten classroom. I prefer the older kids, and I think all Kindergarten teachers are Saints!
What are you up to this month?
Bethany,
ReplyDeleteI always said I'd stop at 1st & now I'm in my second year of Kindergarten teaching & I'M IN LOVE!! It's the best...Aug./Sept. is tough - but their growth from now 'til May is INSPIRING.
Thinking of you - pregnant & taking Master's classes can't be easy...I can see why you are loving naps.
3 broken bones, REALLY? I'm such a chicken, I've never broken anything *knock on wood*!!
Naps are my favorite and I'm nowhere near pregnant! I'm so surprised that your husband has never seen Friends!

I so wanted to take a nap today and didn't get to. I always said I am a younger kids type of teacher, but others say I would be great with the older ones. I guess we all have are own spot.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you regarding kindergarten teachers! I, too, had wanted to teach the younger students whilst I was an undergrad. I really liked first and second grade. Unfortunately when I graduated there were no lower grade openings anywhere. I ended up subbing for one year, mainly in the upper grades and LOVED it! I've been strictly a 5-8 teacher for 33 years... wouldn't trade it for the world!
ReplyDeleteAh, so sweet- "Little Bit"
Friends is one of my favorites. It never seems to get old. That must be tough taking a grad class while you are pregnant. No wonder you want a nap!

I agree. I could NEVER teach Kindergarten. Those teachers have angel wings waiting for them in Heaven, I'm certain.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you got to transition into the class you student taught in!! I can only imagine how neat that would be! And I absolutely get how you feel about kindergarten...I used to say that I would never, ever, NEVER teach older than 3rd grade unless I had to. Then I ended up working with 4th graders during student teaching and adored it (most of the time)!

I am with your husband....I have never seen all of the Friends episodes. I have maybe watched a total of ten shows. That's crazy, right?!?!
