Every year that I share this book, my students love it. It starts with a student starting his day and his teacher tells him this:
Everything does become a math problem.
My students laugh at all of the problems and then have an "ah-ha" moment when the student manages to stop the problems. (Which is where the fractions come in.)
I normally share this book with my class as a read-aloud, and then put it at a center for the students to attempt to solve some of the problems that are found in the book. the back cover has the answer key.
My students love the playfulness of the book.

I am starting Fractions this week and just got this book at a library sale! I am so glad I read this and hopefully my students will enjoy it as much as yours!

You know, I actually have this book and have never read it! Eek, I know! I am definitely making a note to use it during fraction! Great idea leaving it out in a center!

I have never read this book, but I checked the school library catalog online and we have it. I knew I had seen it before. I'm going to go check it out in the morning. We just started fractions too! Thanks for the suggestion, Bethany!

Rockin' and Lovin' Learnin'
I love this book. We read this at the beginning of the year as we got to know each other through Numbers. Think I might pull it back out to spice things up. We have been working on fractions since November and we still have a lot more to go!
